Immediately below the monument to Sir John NORRIS is a rectangular marble plaque inscribed:

Sacred to the beloved memory
of Mrs Sarah NORRIS, Daughter of the Rt Honble Sir John NORRIS.
The delight and constant source of inexpressible happiness to all
who knew her. _ Her Soul was delivered from this earthly prison
on Jany 19th 1762 in the 50th year of her Age, to receive the reward
of the righteous in the Paradise of God. _ Reader _ if a Life whose
uniform pursuit was every virtue that cou'd adorn her sex_
if an illustrious example of uncommon Piety in a dissipated Age_
if the brightest elegance of manners with the warmest
Benevolence of Soul Mark the character of a Woman worthy
to be recorded to Posterity _ Here let the tear drop and
hence Receive the accomplished Portrait of female excellence.__
Her afflicted Nephew, John AMBROSE, of Mount Ambrose
in the County of Dublin, and Kingdom of Ireland, caused
this to be inserted, to perpetuate his irreparable loss, and in
testimony of his affection for the Memory of the best of Women.
