A rectangular marble tablet with raised border stands on a black marble background with pediment in which is a draped urn
to the memory of John Samuel LAZONBY, Esqre who practised as a surgeon &c. for many years in this parish. He died Novr 3rd AD 1835, aged 43 years. This tablet is erected by his friends and neighbours, who will long deplore the loss of one so distinguished for his professional skill, zeal and benevolence, so highly respected for his integrity and morals, and so endeared to all by his amiable manners, his unostentatious charity and his unaffected piety.
