Frank Cooper LEDGARD. Lieut. 2nd Bat. Yorkshire Regt. (The Green Howards) who met a valiant death on October 22nd 1914 at Ypres when in charge of the Machine Gun detatchment of the Battalion. This statue was given by his sister Lady Margaret Helen LEDGARD
