A tall half round stone; carved at the top, on a band between leaves and below a crown and cross, are a very small cricket bat and balls

Haslewood p31; he also gives on pp 188-9 details of him as a cricketer and the famous match of Sept 1834 when he and Edward Gower Wenman challenged an XI chosen from the Isle of Oxney, and won.
