A short stone with highly raised domed top, checked above undulating sloping shoulders, its surface much weathered. The length of the recorded MI suggests much of the stone may be buried, or the stone broken:
Here lye ye Body of Richd, Son of Alexr and Margt NARWOOD of this Parish, who died ye 13th of Sepr 1749 in the 49th Year of his Age. The above Alexr and Margr had 9 Children, viz: Mary, Ann, Mary, Francis, Martha, Sarah, Alexr & Richd. The sd Alexr and Margt & 5 Children lie near this Stone. The 2d Mary was interred at Fairly in Sussex, Frans at Thurnham in Kent and Sarah at Rolvenden. Now surviving only Alexander.
