A stone with scalloped top, badly weathered:
Beneath this stone are deposited the remains of Joseph, son of Mr Jenkin HAGUE of Biddenden, Kent, and Sarah his wife. He died at the early aged of 20, Novr 24th 1813, having conducted himself in all instances as a dutiful son to his parents, and an example of good morals to those of his own age. His afflicted mother erects this stone to commemorate his worth, and her own great and premature loss of an affectionate child.
