Sacred to the Memory of
Joseph HINDS of this Parish, who departed this
Life Octr the 28th 1801 Aged 75 Years.
Also Sarah his Wife departed this Life
Decr the 18th 1801 Aged 74 Years.
Left Surviving One Daughter, Sarah.
Their ever Affectionate and afflicted Daughter,
caused this little Stone to be Erected as a testimony of
her Heartfelt gratitude to the Memory of the best of
Parents, Their rational and endearing conversation
was not only the perpetual delight of her heart; But
their pious and exemplary conduct was Likewise
the pleasing rule, and constant direction of her Life.
While o'er the Grave of Parents truly dear,
A Lamenting Child drops the filial tear;
A stone, a verse, Oh honoured Pair receive,
As the last tribute gratitude can give
To such dear Saints I'll bid a kind adieu,
And hope to share a blissful Heaven with you.
