A large stone with damaged top; the central portion of the surface has flaked away:
Sarah, Wife of John BUCKLAND of Hollington in Sussex Yeoman, who departed this Life Sepr the 28th 1805, Aged 73 Years. Likewise near this place lieth James, their Son, who died in his Infancy. Also the above John BUCKLAND died May the 5th 1813 Aged 83 Years. Here lies Benighted in this Silent Grave, A tender Mother and a Parent brave, A quiet Neighbour and a faithful Friend, So as she lived we hope so is her end.
