Lt.-Col. Geoffrey Lennard Hoare was the son of William Hoare. He married Lady Alma Stopford, daughter of James Walter Milles Stopford, 6th Earl of Courtown and Gertrude Mills, on 10 October 1922.1 He died on 28 February 1960. Lt.-Col. Geoffrey Lennard Hoare was invested as a Commander, Order of the British Empire (C.B.E.).
