Here lyeth the body of John CROTHALL, late of this parish, farmer. He died the 29th of Sepr 1738 aged 70 years.
On the central column:
Also ye body of Robert, son of John CROTHALL by Mary his wife. He was also a farmer and a person well esteemed by all that knew him. He died ye 27th of April 1748 in the 45th yer of his age.
On the right-hand column:
Here also lyeth ye body of Mary, wife of ye said John CROTHALL, who died the 14 of Feby 1751 aged 83 years.

These stones were erected to their memory by Richard CROTHALL.
